Vitiligo
Vitiligo on the face responds particularly well to excimer laser. this area regained full pigmentation in just 6 reatments (administered once a week)

Eczema which responded poorly to steroid creams showed a complete response to 3 sessions of excimer laser. The architecture of the area has returned to normal and the condition did not recur in this area during a 3 year follow up period.

Alopecia areata
This patch of alopecia areata was treated with 3 sessions (once weekly x3) of excimer laser alone, without any injections or applications of steroid. Excimer may however be combined with steroid injections or steroid creams.
Lichen planus
Lichen planus is usually treated with cortisone creams and sometimes with cortisone injections. In this patient, there was total flatterning of the lichen planus within 6 treatments of excimer laser, given a week apart.
Discoid lupus erythematosus
The redness in this patient with discoid lupus erythematous persisted over the years despite potent steroid applications. The areas resolved rapidly with excimer laser and remained controlled for at least one year of follow up.
