How to start a phototherapy practice
First determine the following:
Amount of space available.
How many patients you anticipate treating.
Your budget.
The ideal unit:
If space is not an issue, the 3 series is ideal for medical practices. These units have up to 48 lampsBear in mind that the more the lamps, the shorter the treatment times. This is important for busy practices with a high turnover of patients.
Alternatives
The UV series and 7 Series units are suitable alternatives to medical practices, especiallywhere there are space and budget constraints.
The UV series is available with up to 24 lamps while the 7 series can be provided with 4 to 12 lamps.
The UV series is a surround body unit while the 7 series will cover one half of the body at a time.
7 Series units can be installed against a wall and need only a wall socket to function.
Ventilation
Try to choose a room with reasonable ventilation
Installation
For the 3 series and UV series machines, SkinTECH’s technician takes the responsibility of fully installing the unit and providing it to you in a usable form.
Your first patient can be treated on the day of installation.
